Steve Deane - Steppin Razor
COACHES PROFILE: STEVE DEANE ( STEPPIN RAZOR)
Since walking into the St Patrick's Boxing Gym in Leeds in 1975 its been a long road, but Steve has not looked back. He has enjoyed much success in Thai Boxing (Muay Thai) including winning the WAKO PRO British Welterweight title in 1997 and the WAKO PRO Commonwealth Light Middleweight title in 1998.
As one of the original Bad Company fighters and then coach, he flourished under the guidance of Guru's Richard Smith and Stanley Tudor, as a top fighter. This was later cemented by training with world renowned Keith 'Pele' Nathan.
Steve Holds a Diploma and a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Leeds Metropolitan University (Carnegie), a subject which he has taught at further education college. In addition to this he holds a number of coaching qualifications including the Community Sports Leaders Award, which he is also qualified to direct as a tutor. He has many certificates for coaching a wide number sports, and other specific qualifications which include Circuit Training, Personal Training Programs, Nutrition, and Massage.
As a coach, he has travelled to many countries with a number of fighters, cornering for Professional Boxing and Muay Thai contests at European and World title level. These countries include: France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, to name just a few..
